Capacity issues are one of the main reasons for a no-bid decision, and also why a team can produce an underwhelming response. As well as supporting organisations through our best practice bid management process, Impart can also minimise the issues caused by limited capacity by taking on the responsibility of producing the first drafts.
We do this by using an organisation’s bid library content and our bespoke Answer Guidance Templates to create as relevant, compelling and high-scoring response as possible. As they are written, we identify gaps, weaknesses and new detail that needs to be addressed/added to strengthen the response further. Instead of a client’s in-house experts having to write everything from scratch, they now only need to address our comments and suggestions, making the process far more efficient and less stressful for them.
In early 2021, for example, a transportation company asked us to write a response for a courier framework – a service they had never delivered before – because their in-house team were at maximum capacity. After creating first drafts from some previous relevant content, we interviewed subject matter experts to fill in the gaps, creating a new service model in the process. The approach worked as planned, with the company successfully getting onto the framework.
