Testimonials

“Impart supported us to produce a compelling, easy to evaluate and high-quality response for a significant opportunity to provide residential broadband and supporting services. The support Impart delivered was instrumental in us securing the contract, which was worth circa £800 million.

Through their best practice bid methodology, they assisted us in developing the PQQ and ITT responses for the four lots we had decided to pursue.  With a bid of this size and complexity, Impart’s Answer Guidance Templates were incredibly useful in deconstructing each individual question’s requirements, ensuring our SMEs’ responses were well structured and answered all elements.

Impart worked tirelessly alongside our in-house Bid Manager and team of SMEs and their dedication ensured our submission was as high scoring as possible, culminating in our success across all four lots.”

Richard Thompson, Managing Director - Indirect.

“Impart were introduced to our Executive Team and asked to assess our current bidding performance, as it wasn’t reflecting our investment in high quality proactive customer engagements. Initially Impart reviewed one of our submissions and provided insightful feedback, identifying opportunities to improve its quality and how to set us apart from our competitors.

Over the last twelve months they have been providing us with a very successful end-to-end bid management service. Impart’s flexible service model ensures we have optimal resources to meet business demand and support all aspects of the bid process at any time.

During this period we’ve won six out of the seven significant opportunities Impart has supported us on, much improving our previous win rate of 25-30%. These included securing preferred supplier status for a strategic and high-profile Wi-Fi / Video Conference contract and becoming the top placed bidder on the higher education JISC framework. On another bid, we scored 100% on several of the lots.”

Chris Wilson, Sales and Practices Director

“Following the loss of an existing Patient Transport Service (PTS) contract in early 2017, we were introduced to Impart who provided us with detailed feedback on our submission and identified areas of improvement. We have worked closely with Impart on numerous successful tenders since, applying their feedback and recommendations, and utilising their best practice bid process.

Our in-house bid management & writing team, importantly, as well as  subject matter experts have also received training from Impart in writing winning responses skills and bidding best practice, helping us to become more self-sufficient and aware of the awarding criteria within the bidding process."

Head of Patient Transport Services, Chris Dexter

Since 2019, Impart has supported the development of our bid submissions through its best practice bid management process. Even though we were delivering very successful internal audit and counter fraud services for many clients, we were keen to improve our tender success rate and ensure we secured a place on a number of key framework contracts. Therefore, a key driver of seeking Impart’s support was to make our written content more compelling and high scoring.

Since working with Impart, our tender content has improved markedly, as has our understanding of what “good” looks like, therefore we are now in a position where we are more self-sufficient and utilise Impart primarily for their Answer Guidance Templates and reviewing expertise, which ensures their support delivers an even greater return on investment. We have also been successful on all projects that we have worked together on, which has enabled MIAA to flourish".

Managing Director, Steve Connor

"Impart has been an exceptional partner in supporting us to bid for a complex community care service in collaboration with other NHS provider organisations. The team worked tirelessly, quickly and effectively to support us with our specific bid writing requirements. They operated extremely efficiently, to make the bid process so much easier and made the time to have critical conversations and reviews to help produce a strong and compelling bid. Thank you."

Head of Business Development, Farhan Rafiq

"We engaged Impart to support us on a key opportunity, having lost the previous competitive tender on price. We knew it was going to be tight again but, with Impart’s help, felt we could maximise our quality score and compensate for any dropped pricing marks, if that was an issue again.

Whilst the procurement had a short turnaround time of just under two weeks, it made us focus on what needed to be done. Thank you to your team for your robust challenge, guidance and support, and for pushing us until it was right. Your input on the tender was pivotal to us winning."

Business Director, Marcus Casey

“We first engaged Impart’s services when we, as part of the Yorkshire and Humber-wide collaboration, were bidding for Local Health and Care Record Exemplar funding to support the greater integration and sharing of patient data across the region. Impart supported us throughout the multi-phase bidding process that included both the initial submission and subsequent Key Lines of Enquiry (KLoE clarifications).

Throughout the process they brought discipline and provided bid writing education and development to the team. With their support, we were subsequently awarded one of the five first wave pilots (£7.5m grant), which was a huge success for the Council and the Yorkshire and Humber region as a whole.

Due to Impart’s extensive knowledge of tendering, they were instrumental in supporting a recent procurement, including the development of the specification, evaluation criteria and quality questions, and also participated in the subsequent evaluation of bidders’ responses.

The attention to detail provided by Impart is exceptional. They continue to strengthen the content of a variety of bids for funds, requirement documents for procurements and the further development of business cases and strategies, by asking challenging and thought-provoking questions. They ensure all the content within our submissions has gone through a rigorous process of challenge and improvement.

We continue to utilise their services to ensure the same level of scrutiny, challenge and attention to detail is maintained across all of the varied projects we work on.”

Dylan Roberts, former Chief Information and Digital Officer

“Over the next four years we aim to become the leading-edge innovator in the UK connectivity market. With that in mind, to support our growth we decided to respond to our first framework opportunity.

After learning about Impart at the TalkTalk Partner Roadshow in Manchester, we asked them to support us with the bid as we were keen to learn from their best practice approach and submit a strong compelling response. Going forward this would give us a solid foundation from which to build.

Impart’s guidance throughout was impeccable and their reviews proved critical. Unlike most bid management functions, they actively strengthen and identify ways of improving the answers through their iterative review process. This has given us an invaluable insight into how tender writing should be approached to realise the most value.

Thanks to their tireless efforts, we managed to pull together a strong response within very tight timescales, and successfully got onto the framework for the three lots we bid for. We will be looking to Impart for their expert guidance and support on future opportunities as we work to realise our ambitious growth strategy.”

Sachin Vaish, Managing Director

"With the imminent release of the A303 Amesbury to Berwick Down (Stonehenge) Archaeological Works tender by Highways England, we engaged Impart’s support after attending the Best Practice Bidding Workshop they delivered on behalf of CECA (Civil Engineering Contractors Association).

This tender was a significant and strategically important opportunity for Wessex Archaeology, having worked on the World Heritage Site for over 40 years. It was clear from our early discussions with Impart that by utilising their best practice process we would give ourselves the best possible chance of success, which would  allow us to continue interpreting and sharing what the site has to offer for years to come.

Everything was structured clearly, from the kick-off meeting to the peer review, meaning we had clarity about what was required to prepare a high-scoring response. We were supported in enhancing our drafts through a rigorous editing and review process, which was instrumental in giving us the impetus and insight to really strengthen our answers.

All the hard work by the team (our own subject matter experts and Impart) really paid off - we were delighted to subsequently receive confirmation that Wessex Archaeology has been selected as the successful bidder for the work.

Chief Operating Officer, Caroline Budd

"We have recently worked with Impart to support two tenders. Both were really important to us, one was to retain a client and the other a new client in a key location. We used Impart to set out the structure of our response and then to review our answers. Impart was incredibly flexible to our requests, responded really quickly and turned around the answer templates and then the review of each question very efficiently. They provided us with really useful tips on maximising marks and challenged us to answer the questions fully. The support we received was really valuable, we learnt a lot and we would definitely work with Impart again. We won both tenders which is a great outcome and Impart's input definitely helped our overall bids."
